Drawing Marathon 2010
- Saturday, Sept. 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th and Oct. 2nd: Kids, let artist Kelly Reedy lead you in a fun and fantastic exploration of drawing styles and materials. This term's theme is "Nature's Paintbox". Learn about how colour is made from stones and plants! Experiment making drawings with a wide range of materials including conte crayon and Chinese mineral pigments. Our artistic inspirations will come from North American petroglyphs, Han Sai Por, Georgio Morandi, Ming Dynasty bird paintings and Frida Kahlo. Kelly will guide you individually in expressing yourself through the art of drawing!
Painting with the Masters 2010
- Saturday, Oct. 16th, 23rd, 30th and Nov. 6th, 13th: Join Kelly as she teaches you how to paint with transparent watercolours, acrylic paint, oil paint and mixed media techniques. This term's theme is "Music as Muse"! Learn about how artists have been influenced by music. By looking at the works of Kandinsky, Rothko, Mondrian and Asian mandalas, Kelly will guide you in making your own masterpieces!
