Top Tier (Client Tier)
The client tier is divided into two main categories that include web and smart clients.
Web client contains the presentation logic, including simple control and user
input validation. The smart client provides rich user interface with the flexibility
to include complex control and processes.
The goal of Smart Client technologies
is to work in the real-world semi-connectedness that computers find themselves
in, moving between wired and wireless nodes as well as connectivity dry zones, like the car
or the airplane. Smart Clients mix the best of both desktop and web applications, including
rich UI, cross-application integration, disconnected operation and developer flexibility,
with the deployment and updating capabilities of web applications
