Process:
First, the FriarTuck consultant meets with client’s management team on-site to review
goals, issues, process steps, timeline, and data requirements. Then, the
consultant meets with key managers, planners and schedulers to discuss business drivers,
current processes, and scheduling requirements. The consultant also collects
data needed to support the analysis, including service contracts, payroll
data, turnover and new hire information, employee work rules, union agreements, etc.
After compiling the data and information gathered during the interviews, the consultant
conducts a preliminary analysis to identify opportunities for cost-saving and efficiency
improvements. The consultant quantifies the results into an initial set of findings, develops
a set of initial recommendations, and meets with your key stakeholders to review these
initial recommendations for accuracy and feasibility. Based on this discussion, the consultant
will refine the analysis and recommendations if necessary.
The consultant selects the appropriate optimization technology to solve the scheduling
problem in the best way possible. Subsequently, the consultant models the problem and generates
optimized rosters based on the current processes (Audit) and recommended alternatives (Assessment).
Later, the consultant will prepare a final report that compare results and highlighting
the potential improvements. Then, the consultant meets with your management team to present
the results of assessment including analysis, findings, roadmap, and recommendations. |
